Winters

Welcome to Winters, California

Winters is nestled in the valley just east of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain Range. This quiet town is located 10 miles north of Vacaville and 10 miles west of Davis on the I-505 and I-80 corridor. Agriculture was and still remains Winters primary source of commercial activity. The town is rich with its numerous historical homes, buildings, and agriculture. The citizens of Winters take tremendous pride in their community.

A stroll in historic Downtown Winters on Main Street gives visitors a glimpse of the past with 14 structures from the late 1800s and early 1900s. The National Register of Historic Places and the California Register of Historical Resources placed the street on their lists.

Lake Solano Park attracts nature enthusiasts to Winters. The park offers biking, boating, fly fishing and swimming. You can spot wildlife such as deer and lizards, and birds like sparrows and woodpeckers. The Putah Creek State Wildlife Area allows hunting for California quail, deer, doves, rabbits, tree squirrels, wild pigs and wild turkeys. Non-hunters can fish, hike and look for over 100 bird species. You can also find more fun water and camping activities at nearby Lake Berryessa.
